Director's Description

As the only comprehensive adult congenital heart program based in New Jersey, we are able to identify any problems related to your congenital heart disease and provide the most effective treatment and management options, while keeping patients close to home. Our mission is to provide excellence in care for all patients with suspected or proven congenital heart disease, from fetus to adults. The RWJBH Adult Congenital Cardiac Program at NBIMC is based within a joint adult and pediatric hospital, allowing for seamless transition from pediatric to adult care and access to countless subspecialties. We specialize in non-invasive imaging, complex congenital heart surgery, and minimally invasive transcatheter procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab including transcatheter pulmonary valve replacements, valvoplasties, stent placements and complex septal  defect closures. Our providers work closely with those of other subspecialties including high risk obstetrics, pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure/transplant. This collaborative approach allows for a highly specialized plan of care, ensuring the highest patient outcomes. As the number of adults living with congenital heart disease continues to grow, it is imperative we provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
